It doesn’t matter how strong or good you are if you aren’t in the game!

Not every athletic injury can be prevented, but through proper strength training and conditioning, many can. Every athlete needs to be resilient to injury and with the proper tools the ability to stay on the field is greatly increased. Over the last 30 years, working with athletes of all levels, injury prevention has been the primary focus of Sierra Strength & Speed. Every athlete and client will benefit from the experience and the tools that SSS will provide for you.

ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT

Here at Sierra Strength & Speed, we want every young athlete to understand how to move better. We start all of our athletes with a functional movement screen (FMS) to assess their movement quality. Then, our team puts together a plan to optimize your young athlete’s progression in their athletic endeavors. We believe that movement is the foundation and key to unlocking better performance as an athlete. Only after a solid base is established, we will focus on performance — including speed, agility, reaction, body awareness, ability to start and stop, and change of direction. SSS has the tools and the ability to teach your young athlete better than anyone in Northern Nevada.

ADULT PERFORMANCE

We offer quality adult classes that provide the individual with a mix of strength, movement, and conditioning. These classes meet the needs of every individual because each exercise can be altered for a beginner or an advanced client. Every class has a mix of injury prevention techniques because we understand that you can’t improve if you can’t attend. Not comfortable diving into a class? We also offer personal training with any of our experts, which is great for one-on-one experience until you’re comfortable with the exercises and machines. We help you take your fitness and health to the next level.

 

The environment is perfect to challenge yourself to progress and compete against others or just yourself.

GENERAL HEALTH & WELLNESS

Strength training and nutrition are a large part of your health and well-being but there are many other factors when it comes to your overall fitness. Here at SSS we will also educate and provide you the necessary tools to help improve both your physical and mental health. We are happy to provide information in the areas of sleep, hydration, recovery and regeneration stretching and foam rolling, stress and injury reduction.
